How do I apply to become a driver?

To drive with Hitch, you have to complete a driver application using the Hitch app.

Apply to be a driver step 1: Download the Hitch app. Hitch is available on both Android and Apple devices.

You can click one of these links to download the app:
Apple: Appstore
Android: Google Playstore

You can also search "Hitch - Regional Ridesharing" on either app store to download the app. Make sure you get the right one! There are a few out there that are unrelated to us. We don't have a 'driver-specific' app at this time.

Apply to be a driver step 2: Once in the app, tap the 'Drive' tab to start the process.

How to apply to be a driver step 3: follow the instructions and enter all information.

Check that all qualifications are met, then enter your full name, date of birth, and zip code.

Follow the instructions to upload the following documents for approval:

Drivers License
Vehicle Registration (including expiration date and license plate number)
Proof of Insurance (including the expiration date, named drivers, and VIN)

Please make sure that all documents are valid and up to date.

5. Enter Social Security

Entering your social security number will allow a background check to be performed.

6. Submit

After you've completed and reviewed your application, press submit. You will be returned to the home screen, and your application will be sent for approval.

Once our team approves your driver application, you'll get an email with your approval confirmation and the next steps to start driving with Hitch. We're a small team; approval can take time as we manually manage each application. We are still hiring drivers, your application is in process, and we will move it through the approval flow.
