Hitch offers the flexibility for riders to book for a variety of departure times throughout the day. To ensure that rides run smoothly for all passengers, we employ the following cancellation policy:

Cancellations made 1 hour or more before departure time are fully refundable. 

Your bank may hold the charge as 'pending' on your account for up to 24 hours. If you've canceled the ride within the above time frames, you may still see the charge as pending. It will fall off and not deduct funds from your account.

If funds have deducted from your account, a refund is immediate on our end once issued but can take 5-10 business days to reflect on your account depending on your card issuer settings. 

Cancellations made within 1 hour of departure are non-refundable.

This includes, but is not limited to, bookings created in error, bookings not canceled within 1 hour of departure time, no-show bookings, late riders, as well as any violation of Hitch TOS or community standards.


To cancel your scheduled ride, you'll select "View Details" from the "Upcoming Trips" screen. From there, select "cancel" and confirm cancellation.
