Since we love animals at Hitch, we permit pets on rides and as a driver, we ask that you comply with this policy. To ensure the safety of our furry friends and anyone in the car, we do ask that riders follow our pet policy. 

Riders with pets must:

  1. Book a private ride
  2. Secure your pet in a kennel for the duration of the ride
  3. Notify the Hitch team in advance using the help chat or via email: hello@hitch.net

Following these steps will allow us to pair riders with a driver that can accommodate the companion, providing everyone with the best Hitch ride experience.

Hitch complies with all state and federal laws. State and federal law prohibit drivers from denying service to riders with service animals because of the service animals, and from otherwise discriminating against riders with service animals.

Drivers have a legal obligation to provide service to riders with service animals.

A driver cannot lawfully deny service to riders with service animals because of allergies, religious objections, or a generalized fear of animals.

Riders cannot be denied service because they travel with a service animal.
