To drive with Hitch, you must complete a driver application using the Hitch app.
You can also search "Hitch - Regional Ridesharing" on either app store to download the app. Make sure you get the right one! There are a few out there that are unrelated to us. We don't have a 'driver-specific' app at this time.
Please ensure all qualifications are met, then enter your full name, date of birth, and the zip code that matches your driver's license.
Follow the instructions to upload the following documents for approval:
Vehicle Registration (including expiration date and license plate number)
Proof of Insurance (including the expiration date, named drivers, and VIN)
Please make sure that all documents are valid and up to date.
5. Enter Social Security
Entering your social security number will allow a background check to be performed.
After you've completed and reviewed your application, press submit. You will be returned to the home screen, and your application will be sent into the background check process. Check your email for your background consent so that can get underway.
Once our team approves your driver application, you'll get an email confirming your approval and the following steps to start driving with Hitch. We're a small team; approval can take time as we manually manage each application. We are still hiring drivers, your application is in process, and we will move it through the approval flow.
